PHYLOSOPHY

Musca Design Studio: interior design, furnishing and lightning. Contemporary design and sustainability are the key-words of the design process.

The creative process is led by passion for harmony, geometry and materiality, an emotional path that corresponds with contemporary concerns, from philosophy to environment.

Musca aims to create functional and aesthetic product that shapes space and atmosphere of rooms. The design is inspired by nature and take human size into account.

DESIGN

Musca Design Studio is focused on exploring digital and physical realities of products, merging the aesthetics of form with function and sustainability.

The form of Musca products are shaped by computational design software, produced with computer-controlled machines, assembled manually in collaboration with local crafting.

Musca designs use mostly materials such as wood and derivatives. For its light emitting bodies, LED light bulbs are used, which makes Musca design energy efficient and long lasting.

ABOUT

Musca Design Studio was established in 2015 by the architect, designer and musician Alessandro Storari.

Musca is currently based in Vienna, Austria, where it collaborates with architects, product & industrial designers, local DIY studios as well as visual artists and musicians.

Musca products where exposed at the Vienna Design Week and at the Vienna Maker Faire. They can be found in our 18th district studio, on our web page or proudly present in local homes, offices, shops and design fairs.
